two servers, one hostname

elsewhere.

Two servers. The first is crossplay — join from any device, no mods, no fuss. The second is packed with mods and a whole new experience. Both live at one address: minecraft.aiskov.com.

SERVER 01 latest release java + bedrock no mods needed

The crossplay one

Vanilla-ish survival on the newest release. Phone, console, laptop — everyone lands in the same world. Nothing to install, no launcher gymnastics.

  1. 01Launch Minecraft: Java Edition on the latest release version. No mods, no Forge, no Fabric of any kind.
  2. 02Main menu → MultiplayerAdd Server.
  3. 03Server Name: anything. Server Address: minecraft.aiskov.com — the default port is already right, so leave it off.
  4. 04Done → double-click the server. See you at spawn.

SERVER 02 neoforge 1.21.1 java only modpack required

The modded one

A CurseForge modpack, NeoForge 1.21.1, and a port that isn't the default because we like watching people forget it. Java Edition only — Bedrock cannot come to this party.

  1. 01Install the CurseForge app (or Prism / ATLauncher — anything that imports CurseForge packs).
  2. 02Open our modpack on CurseForge, hit Install, and let it pull the whole pile of mods. Modpack on CurseForge
  3. 03Play the instance → MultiplayerAdd Serverminecraft.aiskov.com:25566. The :25566 is not optional.
  4. 04First load takes a minute. Go make tea, come back a wizard.

Joining without the exact pack gives you a red wall of missing-mod text, not a world. Same pack, same version, every time.

WHEN IT DOESN'T WORK

Troubleshooting & FAQ

Java or Bedrock — which one do I even have?

If you bought it on a phone, console, or the Microsoft Store, it's Bedrock. If you launch it from the Minecraft Launcher and can install mods, it's Java. Both work on server 01 — just follow the matching tab.

Bedrock says it can't connect.

Nine times out of ten the port is missing or wrong — it must be 19132, not 25565. Otherwise: fully restart the game (Bedrock caches failed servers), and make sure you're on the current version.

Can I join the modded server on Bedrock, or on plain Java?

No and no. Server 02 needs Java Edition running the exact CurseForge modpack on NeoForge 1.21.1. Vanilla Java gets rejected, Bedrock doesn't speak the protocol at all.

"Outdated server" / "Outdated client" on server 01.

Server 01 tracks the latest release. Set your launcher profile back to "Latest release" and relaunch. If a brand-new version just dropped, give us a few days to catch up.

The modded pack crashes or runs like a slideshow.

Raise the instance's RAM to 6–8 GB (more than 10 GB actually makes it worse), update your GPU drivers, and let the pack finish its first-load shader and model baking before judging the frame rate.

Can I bring a friend?

Small community, so: yes, if you vouch for them. Ask before you hand out the address and everyone stays happy.
